  1. Top 12 movies - #3 Spider-Man ... there are so many iterations lately with reboots and like-names ... so, which year did your #3 come out?

    1. I neglected to mention it here because A) I have mentioned it many times before on this site, and B) there's only one movie to my knowledge whose title is simply "Spider-Man" with no prefixes or suffixes.

That film of course was released in 2002, directed by Sam Raimi, starring Toby Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Rosemary Harris, Cliff Robertson, J.K. Simmons, and - in a performance that made him my favorite comic book villain of all time and I will always love no matter what people say - Willem Dafoe.

  2. You consider Deadpool a villain?

    1. In the same way I consider The Punisher a villain. Technically they're both more anti-heroes. They were both originally villains who became popular enough for Marvel to push them into protagonist roles but unlike other villains-turned-heroes like Rogue and Hawkeye, they're never repentant for their extreme and villainous methods.

They tried the same thing with Venom to pretty disastrous results.
