Acklay of omprehension-Cay

(Originally Written for Jedi News)

I’ll be the first to admit that of all the Star Wars films, Attack of the Clones took the longest for me to fully appreciate. In spite of the fact that I still feel that it’s arguably the most well-crafted film in the Saga, at least when it comes to symbolism, subtlety, and having a deeper meaning beyond the space fantasy, I still enjoy most of the other films on a far more visceral level than this one.

"Settle down, settle down!"

However, that doesn’t mean that there was ever a time I actively disliked the movie. On the contrary, even though it wasn’t my favorite and I was a little let down after expecting another Phantom Menace, I still loved the film from day one. Each film in the Saga has moments that count amongst my absolute favorites not just in Star Wars, but in film in general.

Time for The Doctor

I've finally caught up on the Doctor Who revival. Now there are two things for me to do while I try and clobber Verizon until they give me BBC America before the new season/series (why is it available in standard but not prime?!?!)

1st: CLONE WARS SEASON 6!!! My wife has my sister-in-law's Netflix password, so I'll catch up on the "lost" season and post my thoughts here.

2nd: All the Whovian's who read this (and I know one of you does), I want recommendations on the top two episodes of each Classic Doctor, not counting their first and last (which I will be watching anyway). Also, I know the 8th Doctor only has the one TV movie and the one prequel to the 50th where he regenerates into the War Doctor (which I did watch), so I kind of don't have a lot of choice regarding him.

There's a new Jedi News article coming tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Zam I Am

(Originally Written for Jedi News)

Star Wars has always given us a share of interesting creatures, but ultimately one of the most interesting and, sadly, underused would appear in Attack of the Clones.

My Wife is Amazing

Look at my wife. My wife is amazing.

Well, you can't actually LOOK at her here, because I'm not posting her pictures here because privacy. If you're that curious, she's on Facebook all the time (and I am NOT, despite what a page that hasn't been looked at much less updated in years might suggest).

The Future

Okay, so just in case the Frozen post distracted, this is everybody's absolutely last chance to save the Anniversary Reviews. Truth be told I'm sick of them and want to give up on them, so if nobody cares I'm going to discontinue them. If you do care, PLEASE let me know and I will acquiesce to my readers - you guys do matter, you know. All of you.

In the meantime, I want to draw attention to the following website: MovieVillains.com, formerly known as CrazyMofo.com, was one of my favorite websites in High School, and I frequented it nearly every day. It was a rating of various film villains, and it was pretty entertaining.

Of course, it used to look a lot flashier. As you can see, the site has fallen into major disrepair, having not updated in nigh of a decade. Furthermore, some of the entries need to be cleaned up a bit for grammar, updated information, and in some cases even rescoring (sexual assault should always be a 10 in Vileness, no matter what).

It's obvious that the previous webmaster, one "Destro", has abandoned the site. I would see it returned to its former glory.

There's no more working contact link, and "Destro" has obviously moved on from that life anyway. Still, if anyone knows anything about this (or if "Destro" is somehow reading this), I would like the permission and opportunity to update and add to what was once a treasure of my adolescence.
