Movies!!!!!!
Hypothetical:
Let's say someone came to you and said "We're going to air one movie a night for 15 days, and we want them to be your favorite movies."
What would your top 15 be? Full titles and dates. Countdown so that your number 1 is last.
Only other rule: If it's a tied franchise (like, let's say you like the Star Wars Saga fairly equally), pick only your most favorite one for your slot.
I want comments. I want lists. Top 15. Go!
My most recently updated list (as an example of how your responses should look):
15. Kill Bill Vol.1 (2003)
14. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
13. The Fifth Element (1997)
12. Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure (1977)
11. Beauty and the Beast (1991)
10. The Secret of NIMH (1982)
9. Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988)
8. Gremlins (1984)
7. Jurassic Park (1993)
6. Batman Returns (1992)
5. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
4. Edward Scissorhands (1990)
3. Spider-Man (2002)
2. Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
1. Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999)

The Victors for the third round of the preliminaries are...
The Powerpuff Girls
"And once again the day...is saved!" |
and...
Charizard
"Super Effective!" |
The most interesting thing about this round is the fact that more people voted in the first match than they did for the second. The first match had 13 votes, with the Girls garnering 8 votes (62%) to the Roadrunner's 5 (38%). The second match only had a total of 9 votes, where Charizard's 6 votes (66%) beat Sylvanas' 3 (33%).

I'm having to shorten some names as I enlarge them for the winner's brackets. |

Call to Arms
(Originally Written for Jedi News)
I’m not sure if this is anyone's first time visiting my very small,
not quite professional, and extremely self-indulgent blog, but as you can see I am in the midst of a fictional
character March Madness parody known as “Geekdom Madness”. Because even though
I hate sports with a passion, I love brackets.
Really, the whole thing started last year with
Starwars.com’s annual “This is Madness!” character tournament, and me realizing
that my favorite Star Wars character would never even be put on such a
tournament much less win one.

The Penguin
"But what it all comes down to is: who's holding the umbrella?" |
Out of seven votes each, Penguin easily handled Riddler 5 (72%) to 2 (28%). However, Jean and Nightcrawler were neck and neck until a single vote pushed it in Nightcrawler's favor, giving him 4 votes (57%) to Jean's 3 (43%)

Donatello
"Bossa Nova!...Chevy Nova?...EXCELLENT!" |

Lexington
"Not afraid, are you?" |
Both matches had a 3/4 (43%/57%) split out of 7 votes. The above squeaked by a single vote. Though I'm not impressed with the turnout, I am digging how close it ultimately was.
By the way, someone I know is actually making predictions on how this year will turn out. I may post them after the final.
